A Lot to Offer

Slovakia and Italy want to enhance their mutual relations in the area of defence. The State Secretaries of the MoDs of the Slovak Republic and the Republic of Italy, Miloš Koterec and Roberta Pinotti, concurred in this idea during the negotiations at the Ministry of Defence of Italy. They negotiated the current possibilities of enhancing the strategic military cooperation. Miloš Koterec informed his Italian counterpart of the possibilities of making the use of the Slovak training and educational facilities. He expressed his interest in deepening the mutual cooperation of the defense industry. During his working visit, the Technical Agreement was signed between the Ministry of Defence of Slovakia and the Ministry of Defence of Italy.

At the International Trade Fair of Defence and Security Technologies (IDET) 2013,  Miloš Koterec met with the First Deputy Minister of Defence of the Czech Republic. Their evaluated a progress made in the cooperation, focusing mostly on an early completion of the legal documents. In their discussion on the Visegrad Group (V4) cooperation, they paid attention to the matters of building the EU Battlegroup of the V4 countries and the V4 joint progress at forming the EU conception of the coordinated defence industry.
