Successful Certification of Chemical Corps in Lešť

Members of the CBRN Company (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear protection) and the mobile chemical laboratory of Rožňava CBRN Battalion underwent the second stage of the national certification of forces and assets earmarked for the NATO Response Force – NRF 2014.

According to the Battalion commander Lieutenant Colonel Oliver Toderiška, the earmarked NRF unit 2014 includes the National Support Element NSE from the Training and Support Forces, Military Police Platoon and a Military Transportation Centre. Brigadier General Ondřej Novosad, the Land Forces Commander, and Brigadier General Ľubomír Svoboda, the Training and Support Forces Commander, were present to check preparedness of the Battalion. The AF SR’ units earmarked for NRF 2014 are being prepared as ‘NATO reserve force’ or a standby unit ready to be deployed to any crisis area as required by the Alliance.
