Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit at Airport

Explosive ordnance disposal units from the Interior and Defence departments attended for the first time a joint training at the airport in Bratislava. Military specialists from the National EOD Centre in Nováky and members of the Border Control Section of the Police Force of the SR practiced a suspicious material response in an aircraft of the Slovak Government Flying Service.
“I am pleased by the fact that the specialists from both departments could practice in conditions simulating a real scenario and share their experiences. It’s necessary to highlight the work of our EOD specialists, who saved countless number of lives during the ISAF operation in Afghanistan,” said Minister of Defence Martin Glváč. The training at the Bratislava airport was held from 11 to 15 November.
