Centenary of Great War

At the military cemetery in Nitra – Mlynárce, the State Secretary of the SVK MOD Miloš Koterec commemorated the 100th anniversary of the beginning of World War One and paid tribute to its victims.

"We are standing at the military cemetery, where 427 soldiers from different nations were buried. This bears testament to the fact that war does not look at the ethnicity, faith or age," said the State Secretary. On that occasion, he greatly appreciated soldiers form the 12th mechanized battalion based in Nitra and from the Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade, who take care of and maintain the military graves at this cemetery in their leisure time.
