Tests are meaningful

All units, tested within a readiness training test held on the first week of February, fulfilled their tasks. The implementation of skills obtained last year can be viewed as a positive sign, as well as the fact that the tested units proved an increased level of readiness, concluded SVK Chief of the General Staff, Lt Gen Milan Maxim. “The path we had taken proved to be right, unexpected tests are meaningful,” appreciated SVK Minister of Defence, Martin Glváč. The test was directed at prompt activation of the declared forces into the NATO Response Force, which pertains to international commitments of the Slovak Republic. The test checked their ability to become quickly embedded into individual groups, as well as their transition to a higher stand-by level for performing tasks, should an emergency occur. “We are going to conduct similar tests throughout the whole year 2015. Their goal is to test the effectiveness of training and other measures focused on the performance of tasks, resulting from respective acts,” emphasized SVK Chief of the General Staff.
