Together with Lithuania

The main theme on the agenda of the meeting between SVK Minister of Defence Martin Glváč and the Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania Loreta Zakarevičienė was the strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the field of defence. The Slovak Republic as well as Lithuania have declared the establishment of the NATO Force Integration Units (NFIUs) on their territories.
“We will dispatch our representative to the NFIU in the Republic of Lithuania. We would welcome if Lithuania had its representative in our country, which would help to greatly improve mutual cooperation,” said Martin Glváč. According to him, the most potential areas of cooperation to be developed are education and training. “The Slovak Republic can make available to Lithuania its specialized facilities, such as the Military and Training CBRN Centre Zemianske Sady and the Training Centre Lešť,” added the head of the Ministry of Defence.
