The SVK Armed Forces can deliver part of its ROLE 2E Field Hospital along with its medical staff to Slovenia in an effort to help resolve the migration crisis. Provided that Slovenia expresses its interest in our assistance, the SVK MOD will send two general practitioners (GPs), a surgeon or traumatologist, and an anesthesiology, resuscitation and intensive care (ARIC) medicine expert – a total of 15 military medical staff, including nurses.
“Our military medical staff have a rich experience in operating in crisis situations. Therefore, we’ve agreed to make the best of their expertise even in this manner and help Slovenia, if they show interest,” said SVK Minister of Defence Martin Glváč. “Our military doctors have repeatedly demonstrated their qualities,” added Chief of the General Staff of the SVK Armed Forces Lt Gen Milan Maxim. He went on to emphasize that “in Slovenia, they could gain invaluable experience from the deployment in the crisis situation.”
