Defence Minister awards winners of literary contest

SVK Minister of Defence Martin Glváč met with the winners of the 11th annual literary contest on the premises of the Defence Department. Ivana Csalová from the Comenius University in Bratislava, Peter Kromka from the Comenius Gymnasium in Lipany and Michaela Gombárová from the de La Salle Comprehensive School in Bratislava were awarded with diplomas, books and financial prizes. The theme of the contest this year was: “Living at Peace: some taking peace for granted, the others just yearning for peace…”
“Allow me to extend my sincere congratulations to you. I am very glad that you took part in our literary competition. I believe that your victory will generate further motivation for you to carry on writing,” said the Head of the Defence Department.
Discussion of the Minister with the prizewinners was held in an informal atmosphere. Martin Glváč evinced interest in their studies, hobbies and plans for the future, but they also addressed the issue of the migration crisis.
The other prizewinners Pavol Zlatovský, Mário Süč and Daniela Ferková, who could not take over the awards in person, will be sent the prize in the nearest future.
