Slovak Security Forum

The 10th edition of the conference entitled Slovak Security Forum 2016, devoted to the topic of drafting the Security Strategy of the Slovak Republic and the Defence Strategy of the Slovak Republic, was opened by the SVK MOD State Secretary, Róbert Ondrejcsák, at the University Library in Bratislava. “Just as the 2005 Security and Defence Strategies were adopted by a broad political consensus, I would be delighted to see the current strategies' preparation process and approval conducted in the same spirit,” said the State Secretary, adding that the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and the Ministry of Defence will lead a debate on the strategies with NGOs, experts from across the political parties, and the public. As part of the conference, 1st CHOD Lt Gen Pavel Macko participated in the NATO Panel After the Warsaw Summit as a panellist.
