Training to be more attractive

Making the Voluntary Military Training (VMT) project better and more attractive is closer to becoming reality. The SVK Parliament's Committee on Defence and Security and the Constitutional-Legal Affairs Committee approved a proposal for the VMT Amendment Act, drafted by the MOD. The Corps of Legislators are expected to vote on the legislative amendment at the upcoming parliamentary session. The Armed Forces will accept formal applications from those interested in the VMT via the local recruitment teams between 2 May and 9 June. Scheduled for August and October 2017, the next round of the VMT training should already be conducted under new conditions, because under the legislative process the VMT Amendment Act is due to enter into force on 1 July 2017.
