A SVK Air Force helicopter crew assists in a firefighting response in the High Tatra Mountains

An Mi-17 helicopter crew, of Helicopter Wing Prešov, is helping to bring a fire under control at Kežmarské Žlaby in the High Tatras. Based on the request of the Firefighting and Rescue Corps for an aerial firefighting response, HW Prešov has sent a helicopter equipped with the Bumbi bucket to assist in extinguishing the fire and has made a fuel tanker available for refuelling. The SVK Armed Forces are ready to assist Slovak citizens in emergencies as part of domestic crisis management operations.
