Ex Trnava 2018 to simulate a state of war and mobilization in the Trnava region and check the readiness of individual elements

As part of Ex Trnava 2018, these days relevant Defence and Interior Ministry authorities are to check the readiness of selected state administration and Trnava self-governing region bodies to perform the tasks associated with the declaration of war and partial mobilization.
Ex Trnava 2018, a mobilization exercise, is aimed at validating the SVK Armed Forces Mobilization Concept in realistic conditions. The Concept was approved by the SVK Government in January 2018.
The exercise, the aim of which is to test the readiness of all involved actors to perform the tasks associated with the manning of the SVK Armed Forces with reservists and to coordinate the action of selected Trnava self-governing region bodies and the Military Unit Kuchyňa, is being attended by staffs from the Trnava, Dunajská Streda and Galanta County Offices.
During the simulation, participants are practising processing, issuing and distributing the call-up notices, the official decisions imposing liability on people to make material assets available to the military, and the official decisions imposing liability on people to undertake work. In addition to the planned tasks, also being simulated are different crisis situations to be handled by the Regional and County Security Councils. As part of the exercise, the Military Unit Kuchyňa will in-process soldiers called up from the reserves and take over material assets.
Mobilization exercises are an effective means for training authorities and citizens for the defence of the State. The exercise in the Trnava region will run until 15 May 2018.
