Minister of Defence Peter Gajdoš meeting with Swedish Ambassador Eduards

Minister of Defence Peter Gajdoš today (22 June) received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Slovakia, Her Excellency Ms Helen Eduards, at MOD Main Building. Modernization projects and a handover of the letter from National Armaments Director Göran Mårtensson, of the Swedish Ministry of Defence, confirming the official supersonics package bid from the SWE Government to the SVK Government, topped the agenda. The meeting took place at the request of the Swedish side.

 

Minister Gajdoš and Ambassador Eduards discussed the cooperation between both countries in the field of training and education. Minister Gajdoš underscored the collaboration of both nations as part of the SVK EOD and SWEDEC Centres of Excellence. Further, he informed the Swedish Ambassador about the scheduled international exercise Toxic Valley 2018 and welcomed the participation of Swedish troops in the exercise as observers.
