Military Hospital Ružomberok has a new director

A new director of the Slovak National Uprising Central Military Hospital – Faculty Hospital Ružomberok has been appointed today. MUDr Peter Vaněk has been entrusted with running the hospital until a regular competitive selection process is concluded. MUDr Peter Vaněk has worked in the hospital for several years, most recently as Chief of Radiological Oncology, before being appointed to lead the hospital as a medical professional who is familiar with this facility and who knows what it takes to bring the quality of medical care to a higher level. Placing in the list of top medical professionals based on patientsʼ assessment reports is instrumental to the MOD and the Hospital choosing key hospital leaders and this approach fits well into the Military Medical Care Concept, which is now being drafted. The MOD wants to provide a new systemic solution to military medicine, because this area has been neglected for years and there is a need to improve medical care for servicemen and women as one of the benefits provided to them. The regular competitive selection of medical professionals for the post of Director of the Central Military Hospital – Faculty Hospital Ružomberok will take place within the period prescribed by law.
