A SVK military policeman saves the life of a US citizen in Afghanistan

MSgt Radovan Januška, member of the SVK Military Police and the Slovak Contingent RS in Afghanistan, saved the life of a US citizen in Afghanistan. On finding a civilian contractor lying unconscious on the floor of a bathroom in a building on base, MSgt Januška immediately administered first aid to him and put his body in a stable position before alerting the ROLE 2 hospital at HKIA.
SVK Minister of Defence Peter Gajdoš said: “I am immensely proud of all SVK Military Police personnel and active duty soldiers who represent us in this way, be it at home or abroad. The prompt action of MSgt Januška helped save a human life and no words can convey how much I appreciate that. I am convinced that his act of saving a life sets an example worth following by every member of the SVK Armed Forces.”
The prompt action of MSgt Januška confirms the readiness and high credit of the Slovak Contingent RS in Afghanistan.
