Airmen assist in a firefighting response to contain a forest fire near the village of Polomka

Airmen from the Helicopter Wing Prešov have been involved in a firefighting response to contain a forest fire near the village of Polomka. A SVK Air Force Mil Mi-17, equipped with a Bambi Bucket, is being deployed at the request of the Firefighting and Rescue Corps. The SVK Armed Forces are ready to deploy on domestic crisis management operations in favour Slovak citizens on a 7/24 basis.
