Military Police to receive new vehicles, MOD has saved over €100,000 via e-auction

Military Police personnel will receive 21 new 4x4 pick-ups worth €720,618. By buying the fleet of vehicles in an electronic auction, the Ministry of Defence has saved over €100,000 below the initial contract price estimate.
Commenting on the e-auction, Director of the SVK Military Police Col Michal Migát said: “We have managed to buy new vehicles thanks to which we will improve the performance of duties undertaken by MP personnel. At the same time, on this transaction we have saved money which will be reinvested into other modernization projects.”
The SVK Ministry of Defence announced a tender via an e-auction in which 6 bidders took part, with AUTOPOLIS, s. r. o. offering the best deal and coming out as the winner.
