An Aero L-39 Albatros jet trainer today crashed between Sliač and Kováčová at approx. 14.15hrs local time. Both pilots bailed out and survived the accident. They were transported to hospital for medical checks. The aircraft went down in an uninhabited area. More information will be made available during a press briefing by Defence Minister Peter Gajdoš, Chief of Defence Lt Gen Daniel Zmeko, and SVK Air Force Commander Maj Gen Ľubomír Svoboda at the crash site at 17.00hrs local time.
