MOD will procure 4x4 vehicles via international tender, proposal for tender procedure has today received approval from Security Council and Cabinet

The SVK MOD has set out to put the order for 4x4 combat armoured and multi-role tactical vehicles for the SVK Armed Forces to international tender. The proposal for this tender procedure was approved by the Security Council and the Cabinet today (20 February 2019).
Following detailed analyses of procurement methods and an assessment of available vehicles and potential manufacturers based on a market survey, the 4x4 platform modernization programme going out to international tender was identified as the most advantageous method of procurement.
At the same time, the Cabinet has cancelled its previous decision on the research and development (R&D) of 4x4 vehicles for the needs of the SVK Armed Forces.
