CBRN SPECIALISTS CONNECT THEIR STRENGTHS

Ex TOXIC LANCE 2019 – an international exercise for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Defence units, involving armed forces from the Czech Republic, Poland, and the United States of America, and organised by the SVK Army’s CBRN Battalion, 1st Mech Bde Rožňava – was launched during an exercise opening ceremony with a training audience of up to 300 CBRN specialists. The international dimension of the exercise is reinforced by the makeup of individual teams performing the tasks of detection, decontamination, search and rescue in a contaminated area, as the specialist teams operate different assets in this wide and highly specialist capability. What CBRN Battalion Command considers as a great challenge is integrating different assets into a functioning whole capable of executing tasks in the contaminated environment.
