MOD to ask Foreign and European Affairs Ministry for permission to make draft Defense Cooperation Agreement between SVK and USA available to members of Parliamentary Committee on European Affairs

Based on today’s request by members of the SVK Parliament’s Committee on European Affairs, the MOD is to ask the SVK Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs for permission to make the draft Defense Cooperation Agreement between the Slovak Republic and the United States of America available to members of the Committee for familiarization. They wish to visit the MOD and conduct a parliamentary inspection for this purpose. As a result, the MOD is to approach the SVK Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, as the official point of contact and chief negotiator of the Agreement, with this request.
 
In accordance with the Coalition Agreement, the official point of contact and chief negotiator of the said Agreement is the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic. The official position of the SVK Ministry of Defence on the matter remains unchanged, MOD officials will abstain from participating in talks on the draft Agreement.
