Mobilization exercise to test the readiness of military and law enforcement agencies for crisis

Exercise Mobilization Banská Bystrica 2019 will test the readiness and effectiveness of MOD and Interior Ministry agencies upon declaration of state of war and partial mobilization on 12-14 June 2019. Participants will test the coordination of the mobilization processes and the performance of realistic tasks according to established plans.
The exercise validated the readiness of the Banská Bystrica region’s local state administration bodies and territorial self-governing bodies in a state of war after declaration of partial mobilization. The simulation tested the system in place for calling up reservists for service and other tasks related to work duties, stores and lodging.
The mobilization exercise took place under the guidance of the Defence Management, Armed Forces Development and Defence Planning Department (Defence Ministry), the Strategic Planning Staff (General Staff of Slovak Armed Forces), and the Crisis Management Department (Interior Ministry). The training audience was drawn from staff of the District Offices Banská Bystrica, Zvolen and Veľký Krtíš, the Self-Governing Region Office Banská Bystrica, members of the Command, Control and Surveillance Wing Zvolen, and the Army Recruitment Team Banská Bystrica.
