MOD’s warnings over increased noise disturbance during gun salute rehearsal

Local residents are warned by the Ministry of Defence of increased noise disturbance during the New Year’s Gun Salute rehearsal on Michalovce Garrison’s Biela Hora (White Mountain) Training Ground to be held at 11:00hrs on 19 December 2019. As part of their blank fire crew drill, members of the Self-Propelled Artillery Battalion Michalovce will fire 20 blank rounds from six HD-30 howitzers.
The rehearsal will align all the activities associated with the preparations for the New Year’s Gun Salute, which will be fired from Bratislava’s Tyrš Embankment in tribute to the 27th anniversary of the Slovak Republic and the independent SVK Armed Forces on 1 January 2020.
