Minister Naď meets Greek Ambassador G. Dimitriadis

The aim of today's meeting between Defence Minister Jaroslav Naď and Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic Georgios Dimitriadis was to address current issues of bilateral Defence cooperation, including possible ways of deepening it, and the operational tasks being undertaken by SVK service members on missions and operations abroad. During his meeting with Ambassador Dimitriadis, the head of the MOD presented the MOD's goals and priorities for the next four years.

Minister Naď also informed the Greek Ambassador about how the Slovak Republic is delivering on its EU and NATO commitments, including on our ambition to spend 2% of GDP on defence. He then introduced the new strategic documents – the SVK Security Strategy and the SVK Defence Strategy – that are currently being formulated. Topics of discussion also included SVK military participation in UNFICYP, Cyprus and in other international crisis management missions and operations.
