The Ministry of Defence announces that people who missed the 1st round of the nation-wide testing last weekend are allowed to get tested in the “red” high risk districts without punishment this coming weekend on 7-8 November 2020. For their journey to take an antigen test, which is deemed to be an essential examination and an exemption from the obligation to stay in self-isolation, they won’t face any punishment.
Defence Minister Jaroslav Naď said: “Of course, those who did not take part in the first round of testing can go for it, because our aim is to test as many people as possible.”
Residents living in the “green” districts are allowed to come for testing as well, if circumstances demand. However, if it is not necessary, they are advised to stay home. In line with Government Decree No. 704 (valid from 9 to 14 November 2020), those going for RT-PCR or antigen tests will be given an exemption from the curfew. Mobile testing units are planned to be set up soon in each district for this purpose.
The full list of testing sites in the 45 districts is available at www.somzodpovedny.sk, while the full list of testing sites in the “green” and “white” border districts will be published soon. These are being set up following a request from local authorities.
