Swab testing continues on Day 2, as at 12:00 on Sunday 14,529 people have been tested with higher positivity rates than those on Saturday

Day 2 of Round 4 of the nation-wide testing for COVID-19 has been underway at 445 test sites across Slovakia. All sites are well stocked up on material and are fully manned. As at 12:00 on Sunday, a total of 449 testing teams have tested 14,529 people, of which 380 (2.62%) have been diagnosed positive.
Defence Minister Jaroslav Naď said: “The Slovak Armed Forces along with all their elements involved in testing efforts have done the absolute maximum once again. Their work is offering a helping hand and I will be pleased if our people accept it. That’s why I want to encourage all those who have not turned up to check out their health yet to do so – testing is free and safe and it only takes a short while, yet it can save lives. Let us be responsible to ourselves and others!”
Among the 4,164 people involved in Phase 4 of the mass population testing today are 1,226 soldiers, 449 police officers, 1,588 medical personnel, 63 members of the Financial Administration Authority, 27 firefighters, 787 administrative aids and 24 volunteers. Test sites are open until 20:00 tonight. A list of test centres is available at www.somzodpovedny.sk//#odber.
