Ministry of Defence issues traffic warning over scheduled military movements across Slovakia

The MOD has issued a traffic warning to motorists as 10 Allied road movements in support of international exercises are scheduled to take place across Slovakia from 26 July to 1 August 2021. The MOD stresses that the Allied transits have been approved in line with the SVK Public Health Authority-issued coronavirus safety guidelines.

Over the same period, the SVK military will conduct road movements from/to: Martin – Kuchyňa and back, Sliač – Nitra and back, Prešov - Michalovce, Trenčín – Nitra, Alekšince – Sliač, Sliač – Banská Bystrica and back, Zemianske Kostoľany – Martin and back, Sliač – Trenčín and back, Zemianske Kostoľany – Nováky and back, and Zemianske Kostoľany – Trebišov. Also scheduled are military rail movements from/to: Kuchyňa – Zemianske Kostoľany and Nemšová – Prievidza.
