In response to the deteriorating epidemiological situation in the region, after two weeks the Slovak National Uprising (SNP) Central Military Hospital - Faculty Hospital Ružomberok has once again freed up bed capacity to accommodate more COVID-19 patients.
Under the new arrangements valid as of 29 November 2021, the hospital has 42 beds with oxygen, 8 beds with ventilators, and 6 beds with high flow oxygen.
Alongside this, the hospital's intensive care unit (ICU), which is located away from the COVID-19 ward, has four beds with ventilators. Only the patients from the COVID-19 ward who have gotten two consecutive negative PCR test results to rule out the continuation of the coronavirus disease and who require further ventilation will be transferred to the ICU.
Currently, 41 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised at the CMH. Of them, 6 patients are on ventilators and 3 patients are on high flow oxygen. The CMH has recorded 7 coronavirus-related deaths over the past 7 days.
