Today, Defence Minister Jaroslav Naď and Ambassador of the Republic of India to Slovakia HE Mr Shri Vanlalhuma met at the Ministry of Defence for talks on a range of defence issues. On this occasion, the partners discussed the Defence Minister's official trip to India scheduled for March 2022 and ways to take the Slovak-Indian bilateral defence and security cooperation forward.
Speaking at the meeting, Defence Minister Jaroslav Naď said: “The defence industry cooperation between Slovakia and India goes back in history to former Czechoslovakia. We have a keen interest in building on it. We can see there is more space for intensifying our cooperation. Take military training and education, for example.”
The head of the MOD plans to address the agenda and direction of the SVK-IND bilateral partnership when he meets Defence Minister of India Rajnath Singh in person during his visit to DefExpo 2022. “We have known India as a significant actor in the defence industry. For this reason, I hope we can work towards deepening our cooperation in this sector,“ added the Minister.
