Lieutenants graduating from Aviation Faculty of Technical University of Košice to strengthen Slovak Air Force

Among the 60 Master of Engineering (MEng) graduates from the Aviation Faculty of the Technical University (LF TUKE) of Košice were four officer cadets of the General M. R. Štefánik Armed Forces Academy who joined the ranks of commissioned officers. Lt Pavol Nazarej was named Best Student of the Aviation Faculty and took over the Dean's Award and the Minister of Defence plaque.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Defence Minister Jaroslav Naď said: “These specialties will be a unique contribution to our Armed Forces. I am delighted to congratulate the new lieutenants on their success and I welcome you to the Defence team. Fingers crossed, I wish you the very best in your service to the country.”
Lt Branislav Pavlišín completed the Aerospace Engineering Programme, Lt Alexander Šáriczki and Lt Pavol Nazarej passed out of the Air Transport Management – Helicopter Pilot Programme, and Lt Matúš Šteuček successfully finished his studies on the Air Transport Management – Tactical Aircraft Pilot Programme. Three of the new lieutenants will now be posted to 51 Slovak Air Force Wing Prešov, while one officer will report to 81 Slovak Air Force Wing Sliač.
The Aviation Faculty of the Technical University of Košice and the General M. R. Štefánik Armed Forces Academy have been working together for the past seven years. Traditionally, Slovak officer cadets have been among the best students of the Aviation Faculty. Overall, 24 Armed Forces Academy cadets successfully completed their studies at LF TUKE in the 2021/2022 academic year.
