The Slovak Ministry of Defence and the Czech Ministry of Defence will continue to collaborate on the programme of exchange holiday stays for over 100 military personnel, civil servants, civilian employees and their families at the Armed Forces Recreation Centres (AFRC) in both countries.
The agreement has been signed today by Martin Jakál, Director General of the Human Resources Department, SVK Ministry of Defence, and Filip Říha, Director of the Estate Management Department, CZE Ministry of Defence.
On the exchange holiday stays at the AFRCs in Slovakia and Czechia, Martin Jakál said: “This years-proven cooperation offers an interesting and extended portfolio of possibilities for recreational holidays for our service personnel, both Slovak and Czech. We will be delighted to welcome our Czech colleagues to our Granite Hotels in Tatranské Zruby, Smrekovica and Piešťany – all of them operating under the remit of MOD-run HOREZZA JSC.”
Through Military Spas and Recreation Facilities (VLRZ) – the CZE MOD-run and government-subsidised agency, the Czech Ministry of Defence offers holiday stays at its hotels in Měřín, Karlovy Vary and Vranovská priehrada.
On the exchange scheme, Director of the CZE MOD's Estate Management Department Filip Říha said: “The extension of the agreement allows our service and other authorised personnel in Defence to continue to enjoy the benefits of exchange holiday stays with an interesting cultural and experience-based programme with sightseeing and tours in Slovakia.”
