Slovak defence businesses present their manufacturing portfolio to United Arab Emirates (UAE) Delegation to Slovakia

The Slovak Ministry of Defence has arranged a meeting between representatives of Slovak defence manufacturers and members of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Economic Mission to Slovakia, led by the Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), His Excellency Rashed Abdul Karim Al Balooshi.
The UAE delegation, comprising senior officials from Abu Dhabi-based government investment and development institutions, attended the meeting in Bratislava as the Defence part of their official programme. The aim of the event was to present Slovakia's defence products and forge industrial links.
Defence Minister Jaroslav Naď said: “Dynamic and flexible SVK-UAE relations are a prerequisite for a host of unique opportunities to emerge and strengthen the defence capabilities of both countries to the benefit of their domestic defence industry businesses. Our aim is to support this cooperation and encourage real investment in Slovak economy.”
In that spirit, Mr Naď noted that the Arabian Peninsula represents an important region of our strategic defence & security, political and economic interest.
As National Armaments Director and Director General of the SVK Ministry of Defence's Modernisation Department Jozef Zekucia mentioned, seven leading companies from the Slovak defence industry – Aircraft Repair Company Trenčín JSC, DECENT Group JSC, Aliter Technologies JSC, DMD GROUP JSC, KONŠTRUKTA - Defence JSC, MSM Holding LTD, and CSM Industry LTD – delivered presentations on their defence solutions at today's meeting.
