Defence Minister Naď at DX-KOREA 2022 Defence Show: The defence industries of both our countries can prosper from more intense SVK-ROK cooperation

As part of his working trip to the Republic of Korea (ROK), Defence Minister Jaroslav Naď attended the Defence & Security Expo Korea (DX-KOREA) 2022. DX-KOREA 2022 is the Republic of Korea's only defence & security trade exhibition specialised in Army equipment.

While receiving a guided tour of the exhibition, the Slovak delegation saw the exhibition stands showcasing weapon and non-weapon systems, counterterrorism devices, autonomous systems/robots, artificial intelligence (AI), and military equipment.

On our two nations' engagement, Jaroslav Naď said: “The SVK-ROK ties are founded on our common values of democracy, respect for human rights, the rule of law and a free market economy. Not only us, but also our Korean friends can see a potential for more intense SVK-ROK cooperation, which the defence industries of both our countries can prosper from. Several Slovak businesses are, therefore, part of our delegation as a display of our support for them.”

Expressing SVK defence companies' interest in forging closer cooperation with their ROK partners, Minister Naď said: “We welcome any new initiative to drive cooperation in this field that can add to improving Defenceʼs responsiveness in both our countries. The professional human and technical potential of the SVK defence industry is capable of delivering R&D, production, repairs and upgrades of sophisticated weapons systems, equipment and materiel. Now importantly, we also have capabilities in the field of most advanced flight simulation and training systems that are competitive with other technologies of the worldʼs leading companies,” Minister Naď concluded.

The Defence & Security Expo Korea will be held until Sunday 25 September 2022. Visitors to this year's defence show are treated to an exceptional display of land equipment and technology at 1,350 exhibition stands by 300 exhibitors from 40 countries.
