Yet another one of the eight Zuzana 2 self-propelled howitzers (SPHs), ordered by Ukraine under a commercial contract with Slovakia's state-run joint stock company KONŠTRUKTA-Defence, has been delivered into operational service with the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In a statement on this occasion, Defence Minister Jaroslav Naď said: “We are edging closer to delivering the order on the terms of the contract with Ukraine, where the Slovak platforms have been involved in protecting and saving lives. I appreciate the commitment and work of everyone involved in timely deliveries of the systems to Ukraine, especially those working at KONŠTRUKTA-Defenceʼs production facilities.”
The last piece of the eight driveable long-range guns ordered is now in the process of being built on production lines. Given that KONŠTRUKTA-Defence has been awarded another contract by the Kingdom of Denmark, the Federal Republic of Germany and the Kingdom of Norway for an additional 16 Zuzana 2s for Ukraine, deliveries of Slovakia's 155mm Zuzana 2 8x8 SPHs to Ukraine will continue into the future.
