The Slovak National Uprising (SNP) Central Military Hospital - Teaching Hospital (CMH-TH) Ružomberok has been ranked as the leader of the state university and teaching hospitals in the INEKO Best Slovak Hospitals 2022 ranking. The ranking list was put together by the Institute for Social and Economic Reforms (INEKO), a non-governmental and non-profit organisation.
Over the past eight years, the Central Military Hospital has been ranked no worse than 3rd best in the country, which proves its well-earned place among Slovakia's leading medical facilities.
In the annual survey, the hospitals were scored and evaluated on the quality of healthcare, operational expertise and experience of surgeons, the complexity of diagnoses, patient satisfaction, financial management, and transparency.
CMH-TH Ružomberok achieved high scores on patient satisfaction. Interestingly, there was a rise in patient satisfaction even during the challenging COVID-19 pandemic. The reoperation and rehospitalisation rates were positively low. The complexity of diagnoses was a highly weighed factor and greatly contributed to the hospital's No. 1 ranking.
Director of CMH-TH Ružomberok Assoc Prof Robert Rusnák MD PhD said: “I wish to thank everyone working in our hospital. This is the result of teamwork by all of us – medical and non-medical hospital staff alike.” He expressed his appreciation for the MOD, as the founder of the hospital, for its continued role in supporting and developing the hospital's operations and services by committing investments into new projects.
Hailing the dedication and efforts of all hospital staff who are working to deliver high quality healthcare to service personnel and members of the public, Defence Minister Jaroslav Naď said: “I am pleased to see patients coming to the CMH with confidence and leaving with satisfaction. This reinforces our sense of pride in and support for the military hospital.”
