Minister Naď meets new Czech Ambassador to Slovakia His Excellency Mr Rudolf Jindrák

Defence Minister Jaroslav Naď was delighted to receive His Excellency Mr Rudolf Jindrák, the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Slovakia, at the Ministry of Defence in Bratislava today. Apart from Slovak assistance to Ukraine, the themes of their conversation included the Czech contribution to the NATO Multinational Battlegroup in Slovakia, closer bilateral engagement with a focus on the defence industries, and the upcoming high visibility events of common interest.

At the meeting with the head of the Czech Diplomatic Mission in Slovakia, Minister Naď appreciated the two nations' pragmatic cooperation that goes beyond standards, even in the field of our defence and security interests. It is testament to the closeness of the Slovak-Czech partnership.

Defence Minister Jaroslav Naď said: “The Ambassador and I also spoke about how we could further develop our ties productively. And I am so very pleased to see that neither our side, nor the Czech side lacks enthusiasm and naturel interest in doing everything to make the citizens of our countries feel as safe as possible.”

Minister Naď expressed his support for the upcoming CZE V4 Presidency, as the Czech Republic takes over from Slovakia at the end of June. He also wished Czechia every success with the ongoing Czech Presidency of the Central European Defence Cooperation (CEDC), of which Slovakia is a member and the goal of which is for its member states to widen their defence cooperation, including on the sharing of defence assets and the conduct of joint exercises.
