Response to the recent snow calamity

In response to the recent snow calamity, the chairman of the Trenčín Self-Governing District has requested the SVK Armed Forces to make available heavy equipment, trailers and trucks. Chief of the General Staff Lt Gen Milan Maxim dispatched a military coordinator to a meeting of the emergency management staff. Acting on the request, the military has deployed vehicles from the Command Support Battalion Trenčín, including a recovery crane and a Tatra 815 truck for transporting local residents. “The SVK Armed Forces are ready to make available the requested military vehicles and personnel,” confirmed SVK Minister of Defence Martin Glváč.
