In memory of J. Stank

To mark All Souls’ Day, SVK Minister of Defence Martin Glváč and Chief of the General Staff of the SVK Armed Forces Lt Gen Milan Maxim attended a commemoration ceremony dedicated to the memory of the deceased Slovak Minister of Defence Jozef Stank at the Ružinov Cemetery, Bratislava. Jozef Stank served as an MP at the Federal Assembly while acting in the capacity of Chairman of the Committee on Oversight of Investigation into the 17 November events. From January 1998 to October 2002, he served as the Minister of Defence of the Slovak Republic. Until 2004, he held the post of Chief of the Office of the President of the Slovak Republic. He died of a serious disease on 7 March 2005 and did not live to see his 65th birthday.
