Member of DUKLA Banská Bystrica Military Sports Club passes away aged 24

It is with deep sadness the MOD must confirm that Matej Medveď, air rifle shooter of the Slovak National Team and the DUKLA Banská Bystrica Military Sports Club, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 24 on Saturday (25 July 2020).

Matej Medveď collapsed unexpectedly in his free time. Subsequently, he was transported to the Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases in Košice, where he died despite the efforts of doctors who tried to resuscitate him. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and close ones.
